When chance changes everything

The play “Big Money” is based on the eponymous play by the famous British playwright Ray Cooney, which captivates from the first minutes and holds on until the very finale. The plot follows a modest accountant Henry who lived a rather measured and modest life. But his life suddenly turns upside down after an unexpected discovery of – a suitcase full of money. It would seem to be a chance for a new life, but along with the money come problems. The hero is forced to improvise, invent, try on different roles – from a lovesick romantic to an adventurer and even a participant in criminal stories – in order to keep the unexpectedly gained wealth.

The events in the play unfold at a rapid pace. Gradually, situations become complicated, lies accumulate, and circumstances become increasingly absurd. Every new plot twist only intensifies tension and comedy, making the audience laugh and at the same time empathize with the characters.
